Our Story

Growing up, my family has always had OUR spice, it was always in a jar, sometimes in old pasta jar... Sometimes my mom would make it and it would smell in our house for days, or someone would bring it for us from their trip to India... It is a life staple, the true flavor of our life, culture, and family. The recipe has been passed down from my grandmother to my mom to me. Bringing Madam Masala to you has been an incredibly cathartic process and has brought me closer to my mother and grandmother, even if she's not here with us today. 

We put it in everything from daal to chicken curry to toast and guacamole. The blend includes spices like cardamom, cumin, coriander, turmeric, red chili powder, ginger, black pepper, and fenugreek, along with onion, ginger, garlic, coconut, sesame, and a few other things.

Everyone always says Indian food is "so hard to make" or "I wouldn't know where to start" but it doesn't have to be. And it can be incredibly healthy, vegetarian forward, and full of antioxidants. Each batch is hand mixed by me so all the ingredients are uniquely mixed together.
